On Friday (8th), the Recording Academy officially announced the nominations ahead of the 67th annual ceremony, which is set to take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé leads all artists with 11 nominations, driven by the massive success of her album “Cowboy Carter,” which appears across various categories spanning different genres. Already the most awarded artist in Grammy history with 32 wins, Beyoncé also becomes the most nominated artist, with a total of 99 nominations, surpassing the record she previously shared with her husband JAY-Z.

As expected, Kendrick Lamar shines with his provocative tracks that take jabs at Drake. His song “Not Like Us” received five nominations, including the prestigious Song of the Year and Record of the Year categories.
Other nominees in the rap categories include Future and Metro Boomin, Eminem, Cardi B, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, J. Cole, GloRilla, Latto, Rapsody, Common, and Pete Rock. The newcomer Doechii is also competing in categories like Best Rap Album and Best New Artist, among others.
In another category, André 3000’s bold transition into spiritual jazz was recognized, with his debut solo album “New Blue Sun” nominated for Album of the Year. This marks his first nomination in this category since OutKast’s historic win in 2004.
